From time to time I come across work by a painter I have never heard of, and start looking for more works by this artist. This was the case with today's artist Jules Bastien-Lepage (1848-1884).
I saw the portrait of the peasant boy (upper left) and it reminde me a nit of work by Emile Claus.
I thought he was worth being this monday's hero.
His work is beautiful, and that is all the reason I need.
