Elisabeth Blackadder (1931) is one of the artists whose work I got to know when I was a student in residence in Aberdeen in the 80s. I had a postcard of her Eastern still life, top left, above my desk for years.
I love still life paintings, I like to make them myself, and I especially like the flatness of Blackadder's paintings.
As if the objects are presented on a stage: look, how beautiful!
