On Pinterest I regularly come across the work of British artist Sarah Ball (1965)
You will know by now that I love portraits, but these by Sarah Ball I love very much.
I like to work from (old) photographs of people unknown to me.
And it looks like that is the way Ball works as well. She has done several series of mugshots, and portraits of early 20th century immigrants, as well as 'damaged' people.
I can't get tired of looking at all these.
