Six boys posing neatly. I could easily have shown six more, but perhaps that's a bit too much.
They look very earnest, and very proud to be portrayed.
The middle one in the bottom row I painted in a series of miniatures (15x15 cm) for an exhibition some years ago at De Ploegh.
