About ten years ago in Münster, Germany I stumbled upon an exhibition of work by the German artist HAP Grieshaber (1909-1981).
I didn't know the artist, but liked the work straight away (and indeed still do) so I bought the catalogue.
This morning my eye fell upon this catalogue and I decided to make Grieshaber (Helmut Andreas Paul) my Monday hero today.
His big colour woodcuts are figurative and robust, printed in three or four colours.
